Baseball Recap: St. Croix Lutheran Find Success

St. Croix Lutheran hadn't done well against New Life Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Crusaders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 8-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Evan Kasa, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Isaac Garcia was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

St. Croix Lutheran's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for New Life Academy, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Croix Lutheran will host Nova Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Life Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty Classical Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
