Basketball Recap: Apache Comes Up Short

Apache lost against Merritt back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors were outmatched by the Oilers and fell 78-32. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Apache and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Merritt, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apache and Sterling will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Merritt, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Navajo at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
