Basketball Recap: Calumet New Tech Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lake Station Edison

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calumet New Tech). They came out on top against the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles by a score of 83-75 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Calumet New Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Allen, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 24 points and seven assists. With that strong performance, Allen is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Johnny Hudson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Calumet New Tech's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Lake Station Edison, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7.

Calumet New Tech will square off against Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Lake Station Edison, they and Hebron will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Hebron is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.
