Volleyball Recap: Carmichaels Comes Up Short

Carmichaels was the 3-2 winner over Jefferson-Morgan when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Mighty Mikes fell 3-1 to the Rockets on Thursday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Jefferson-Morgan scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21.

Carmichaels has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Carmichaels will head out to take on Mapletown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they will face off against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
