Volleyball Recap: Smoky Valley Takes a Loss

Smoky Valley lost against Mulvane back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-14 in the first set.

Smoky Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-20, 25-13.

Smoky Valley's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Mulvane, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-3.

Smoky Valley has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Chaparral on the 4th. As for Mulvane, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Belle Plaine on the 4th.
