After flying high against Lodi Academy last Thursday, Humphreys Able Charter came back down to earth. The Humphreys Able Charter Legacy fell just short of the Elliot Christian Eagles by a score of 47-45 on Monday. The Legacy's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Jeremy Nielsen was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 19 en route to 23 points and five rebounds for Elliot Christian. Nielsen's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was James Lappe, who posted 14 points.
Humphreys Able Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Elliot Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humphreys Able Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tioga at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elliot Christian, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Vanguard College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
