It was a good run, but Jones County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Grove Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9.

Jones County now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Union Grove, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-3-1.

Coincidentally, Jones County and Union Grove will both be playing Locust Grove the next time they take the court. The Greyhounds will host the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
