Volleyball Recap: Ninilchik Comes Up Short

Ninilchik lost against Cook Inlet Academy back in October and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ninilchik was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 15 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15.

Ninilchik's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-15 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ninilchik will face off against Birchwood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cook Inlet Academy, after both having extra time off, they and Lumen Christi will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
