Baseball Game Preview: Medina Valley Panthers vs. Del Rio Rams

The Medina Valley Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Del Rio Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Medina Valley nor Del Rio posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Friday. Medina Valley never let United South get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Medina Valley has posted since March 7th.

Medina Valley's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Easton Lange, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Johnny Guzman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Del Rio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cornerstone Christian.

The victory made it two in a row for Medina Valley and bumps their season record up to 12-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Del Rio, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.
