Flag Football Recap: Doherty Extends Winning Streak to Three

Doherty won the last time they faced Colorado Springs Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Spartans managed a 6-0 victory over the Lions. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado flag football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Lions are ranked 60th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Doherty, bringing their record up to 10-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.7 points on average over those games. As for Colorado Springs Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Doherty didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 25-21 win against Legacy on the 15th. As for Colorado Springs Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 49-0 loss against The Classical Academy on the 11th.
