Football Recap: Barnstable Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Barnstable can now relate to. They came up short against the North Attleborough Rocketeers on Friday, falling 42-21. It was the first time this season that the Red Hawks let down their fans at home.

Barnstable's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for North Attleborough, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Barnstable will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Falmouth at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. The game will give the Red Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for North Attleborough, they will square off against Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rocketeers 14.2, the Wildcats 14.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
