Baseball Recap: Coventry Gets the Win

While Coventry put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Granby Memorial. The Patriots came out on top against the Bears by a score of 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kyle Hecht made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Hecht was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Hecht wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Menzel, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Menzel is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Coventry now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Granby Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
