Softball Recap: Hollins Comes Up Short

Hollins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders, falling 11-1. The match marked the Royals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hollins saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Vargas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Hollins' loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9.

Coming up, Hollins will square off against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will head out to challenge Dunedin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
