Volleyball Recap: Caroline Winans Key Part of Team Effort in Raiders Win

Wayne Trace won the last time they faced Bath and things went their way on Saturday too. The Raiders came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0.

Wayne Trace's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caroline Winans led the charge by getting seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Winans has posted over her last six contests. Avery Noffsinger also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Wayne Trace was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bath only served two aces.

Despite the loss, Bath saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Mauk had 14 digs.

Wayne Trace's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Bath, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Wayne Trace has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against St. John's on the 6th. As for Bath, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Allen East on the 6th.
