Basketball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall lost to Stevens back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rams lost 80-60 to the Falcons.

When it comes to explaining why Marshall lost, don't look at Jason Vidaurri. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field en route to 20 points along with six assists and six boards. Vidaurri is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 33 games he's played dating back to last season. Josiah Powell was another key player, going 7-for-16 on his way to 15 points.

Marshall has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season. As for Stevens, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-18.

As of now, neither Marshall nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
