Softball Recap: Pike Road Comes Up Short

Pike Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Rehobeth Rebels. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Pike Road saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Hayden Hargrove, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pike Road's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-20. As for Rehobeth, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pike Road will head out to face off against Russell County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rehobeth, they will square off against Hewitt-Trussville at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
