Recap: York Cougars vs. Westside Rams
The York Cougars and the Westside Rams squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the York Cougars had to settle for second. York was outmatched by Westside on the road and fell 49-13. York was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.
Westside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sharode Richardson, who rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Marco Evans, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Westside's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Leading the way was Jacsen Waller and his two sacks.
York's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Westside, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
York does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westside will face off against Midland Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Midland Valley will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
