La Cueva is a perfect 10-0 against Manzano since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bears will square off against the Monarchs at 10:00 a.m. La Cueva's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Manzano's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

La Cueva is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over Rio Grande on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Manzano came up short against Rio Grande last Tuesday and fell 13-9.

Bodey Ethridge led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played. Braeden Lucero was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

La Cueva's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Manzano, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

La Cueva took their win against Manzano when the teams last played back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Monarchs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
