Basketball Game Preview: Mountain Range Mustangs vs. Boulder Panthers

Mountain Range hasn't had much luck against Boulder recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mountain Range Mustangs will be playing at home against the Boulder Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Range knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Boulder likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Mountain Range came up short against Horizon and fell 74-65. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Hawks are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Boulder took on Arvada West on Friday. Boulder took a hard 65-48 fall against Arvada West. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mountain Range's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Boulder, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Mountain Range was able to grind out a solid victory over Boulder in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 80-71. Does Mountain Range have another victory up their sleeve, or will Boulder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
