Preview: Carlson Marauders vs. Lincoln Park Railsplitters
The Carlson Marauders will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Lincoln Park Railsplitters at 7:00 p.m. Carlson has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.
Last Tuesday, Carlson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-34 to Anderson. That's two games in a row now that Carlson has lost by exactly four points.
Carlson's loss came about despite a quality game from Brendan Stanley, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joshua Anderson, who scored 5 points.
Meanwhile, even though Redford Union scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, Lincoln Park still came out on top. Lincoln Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Redford Union and snuck past 64-62. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln Park.
The losses dropped Carlson to 1-3 and Anderson to 2-1.
Carlson ended up a good deal behind Lincoln Park in their previous matchup back in February, losing 51-34. Can Carlson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
