Football Recap: Lehighton Has No Trouble Against Jim Thorpe

Lehighton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 40-20 margin over the Jim Thorpe Olympians. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Cole Lazorick and Spencer Gothard certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Lazorick threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns, while Gothard picked up 57 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Gothard also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception. A healthy portion of Lazorick's aerial production (92 yards to be exact) also went to Connor Zurawa.

The win got Lehighton back to even at 5-5. As for Jim Thorpe, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

As of now, neither Lehighton nor the Olympians have any future games scheduled.
