Baseball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Lane Tech

Lane Tech extended their postseason success on Saturday against Glenbrook North. They had just enough and edged out the Spartans 2-1. That's two games straight that the Champions have won by just one run.

Dodger Friedrich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, Lane Tech saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paris Head, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

The win (which was Lane Tech's sixth in a row) raised their record to 33-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Glenbrook North, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 24-14 record.

Looking ahead, Lane Tech will face off against Libertyville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Glenbrook North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
