Baseball Recap: Eagle Pass Takes a Loss

Eagle Pass was the 5-1 winner over Laredo LBJ when they last played one another on Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Eagle Pass saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Eagle Pass' defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-9-2. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Laredo LBJ, their record now sits at 9-11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Pass will square off against Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.8, the Bulldogs 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Laredo LBJ, they will challenge LEE at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
