Football Recap: Chambers Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Chambers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over the Clover Blue Eagles. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 28-20 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Tahj Brooks was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 135 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyon Hailey, who threw for 145 yards and one touchdown.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chambers will welcome Hopewell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clover, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Hillcrest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
