Basketball Recap: Taylor's Win Ends 16-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Madison-Grant came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Taylor, but Jallainah Harris wouldn't allow it. The Taylor Titans managed a 47-41 win over the Madison-Grant Argylls on Tuesday thanks in part to Harris, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed five or more in the last four games she's played.

Despite the defeat, Madison-Grant saw an underclassman step up: freshman Grace Wood went 8 of 19 on her way to 22 points and six boards. Those 22 points gave Wood a new career-high. Madalee Holloway was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Taylor's victory ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-15. As for Madison-Grant, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Taylor will face off against Clinton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clinton Central will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Taylor surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madison-Grant, they will square off against Frankton at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
