Basketball Recap: Harrison Comes Up Short

Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 63-50 to the Benton Central Bison. The Raiders were probably out for revenge after losing 59-31 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Harrison lost, don't look at Elsie Ahnert. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points and four steals. What's more, Ahnert also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sadey Ringler, who earned nine points and three steals.

Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Benton Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Harrison will face off against West Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Benton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
