Recap: Clarendon Hall Saints vs. Calhoun Academy Cavaliers
The Clarendon Hall Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They lost to Calhoun Academy at home by a decisive 69-53 margin. Clarendon Hall has struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Calhoun Academy was led to victory by Connor Hayes and Chase Strickland. Hayes went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 2 assists, while Strickland dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Strickland has scored all season. Colt Layton was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 assists.
Clarendon Hall dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Calhoun Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarendon Hall will challenge the Warriors at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Andrew Jackson Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Calhoun Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
