Newman Catholic took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Central Springs, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Panthers 2-1 on Saturday. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Newman Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Central Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Coincidentally, Newman Catholic and Central Springs will both be playing Northwood-Kensett the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Panthers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
