Baseball Game Preview: Harding Knights vs. Johnson Governors

For the second straight game, Harding will face off against Johnson. The Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Governors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Harding has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 18.

Harding couldn't beat Johnson on Friday even though they stacked six runs on them in the third inning. The Knights came up short against the Governors, falling 22-9.

Mikey Xiong made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alex Oxley, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Johnson and bumps their season record up to 3-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
