Soccer Game Preview: Anchor Bay vs. Utica Eisenhower

The Anchor Bay Tars will venture away from home to face off against the Utica Eisenhower Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Anchor Bay put up the most goals they have all season on Friday. They blew past Port Huron Northern 6-3. Anchor Bay haven't had any issues with Port Huron Northern recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Utica Eisenhower got the win against Utica on Wednesday by a conclusive 7-1. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Utica Eisenhower has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two contests. As for Anchor Bay, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.

Anchor Bay suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Utica Eisenhower in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Tars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
