Williamson hasn't had much luck against Troy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Williamson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Williamson and Canton, and Williamson kept the tradition alive. Williamson walked away with a 13-8 win over Canton on Tuesday.

Olivia Gee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Williamson let Joelie Stephens and Aubree Roe run wild. Stephens scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Roe scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. That stolen base was Roe's first of the season. Savannah Dean was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Williamson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Troy didn't have quite enough to beat North Penn-Liberty on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Trojans have struggled against the Mountie recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Williamson's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Williamson suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Troy when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
