Basketball Recap: Mae Jemison Takes a Loss

Mae Jemison lost against Hazel Green back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mae Jemison Jaguars were outmatched by the Hazel Green Trojans and fell 75-14. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Trojans are ranked 18th).

Mae Jemison dropped their record down to 8-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Hazel Green, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Mae Jemison will challenge Sparkman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hazel Green, they will take on Hoover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Hazel Green sitting on six straight wins and Hoover on three.
