Kewanee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Mendota Trojans and fell 45-13. On the bright side, the 13- point performance marked the Boilermakers' highest-scoring game to date.

Kewanee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mendota, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Kewanee will host Sherrard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Boilermakers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mendota, they will head out to take on Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
