 Owensville never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the St. James Tigers with a sharp  12-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Owensville also won the last time the pair played  back in March.
  Chase Weirich made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Weirich has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. Weirich was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Landon Ely, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.  Jansen Loeb was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Owensville and  bumps their season record up to 8-9. As for St. James, they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Owensville will take on Potosi at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for St. James, they will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Belle, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:30  p.m. Belle's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so St. James' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
