Basketball Game Preview: Cave City Cavemen vs. Bergman Panthers

Cave City is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Bergman is on a four-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Cave City Cavemen will welcome the Bergman Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cave City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Bergman likes a good challenge.

While Cave City didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Valley Springs by a score of 60-52 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bergman duked it out withLead Hill on Wednesday. Bergman blew past Lead Hill, posting a 77-37 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 25 points or more this season.

Cave City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Bergman, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
