Basketball Preview: Peoria Heights Patriots vs. Roanoke-Benson Rockets
The Peoria Heights Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Roanoke-Benson Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peoria Heights is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Saturday, Peoria Heights came up short against the Panthers and fell 38-28.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Roanoke-Benson had to settle for a 29-27 defeat against the Panthers on Friday. Roanoke-Benson has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Peoria Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Roanoke-Benson, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
Peoria Heights didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Rockets when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Peoria Heights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
