Basketball Recap: Mission Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northern Heights last Friday, Mission Valley came back down to earth. The Mission Valley Vikings took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Olpe Eagles on Tuesday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Mission Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Olpe, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Valley will head out to challenge Lebo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olpe, they will face off against Osage City on Friday. One thing working in Osage City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
