Baseball Recap: Apache Junction Takes a Loss

Apache Junction managed to slip by Poston Butte the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Prospectors lost 12-2 to the Broncos on Monday. The Prospectors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Conner Trisoliere made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Apache Junction's record is now 2-4. As for Poston Butte, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apache Junction will venture away from home to take on Coolidge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Prospectors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Poston Butte, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mohave at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
