Volleyball Game Preview: Olathe East Hawks vs. Lawrence Free State Firebirds + Official Tickets

Olathe East hasn't had much luck against Lawrence Free State recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hawks will challenge the Firebirds at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Olathe East turned things around against Shawnee Mission North on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bison. The Hawks not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 2nd (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Olathe East took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Lawrence Free State got the win against Shawnee Mission South on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Lawrence Free State won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 26-24.

Lawrence Free State's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Olathe East, their victory bumped their record up to 9-22.
