Baseball Recap: Desert Ridge Comes Up Short

Desert Ridge suffered their closest defeat since March 4th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Williams Field Black Hawks by a score of 4-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 9-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2018.

Desert Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tre Hallberg, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Desert Ridge and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for Williams Field, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

While Desert Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
