Columbus Crusaders had won three straight games and Ezekiel Bowie did his part to make it four on Saturday. Columbus Crusaders blew past the Northern Virginia HomeSchool Centurions 39-0 for which the team can thank Bowie, who rushed for 255 yards and four TDs while picking up 15.0 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass.

One reason for the win was Columbus Crusaders' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Davier Lewis, Justin Bauer, and Marcos Stoner, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Columbus Crusaders' record now sits at 4-1. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus Crusaders will face off against Noblesville L at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. This will be Columbus Crusaders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Northern Virginia HomeSchool, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
