Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodstock). They walked away with a 14-9 victory over the Genoa-Kingston Cogs on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Blue Streaks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Cayden Holtzee was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Woodstock is undefeated when Holtzee posts two or more runs, but 4-15 otherwise. Trevor Cote was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Woodstock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

Woodstock's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Genoa-Kingston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Woodstock will have a chance to go back-to-back against Genoa-Kingston: the pair will be back at it again later today.
