Basketball Recap: Liberty Piles Up the Points Against Mater Academy Narcoossee

Liberty waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past Mater Academy Narcoossee 91-15. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lamar Lee, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 12 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Lee is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 41 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Merino, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Liberty smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

Liberty pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
