Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Cardinal came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bloomfield Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cardinal was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-12.

Ali Puruczky paced Cardinal's offense, picking up 14 kills. Puruczky got some help from Olivia Krebs and her 17 assists. Puruczky was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Bloomfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dellanie Murphy, who had nine digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Peyton Koon, who had six digs and two blocks.

Cardinal's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Bloomfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Cardinal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bristol on the 18th. As for Bloomfield, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Mathews on the 18th.
