Basketball Recap: Lennox Beats Tri-Valley for Their Sixth Straight Win

Lennox came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Tri-Valley Mustangs by a score of 64-57. Given the Orioles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Mustangs are ranked 108th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lennox's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Tri-Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Lennox won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dell Rapids at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tri-Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Baltic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
