Soccer Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Liberty can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Jefferson Forest are ranked 20th).

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Jefferson Forest, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 11-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Liberty is set to square off against their familiar foe Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jefferson Forest will take on rival Glass at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
