Rye waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Front Range Christian Falcons.

The team relied heavily on Max Rocha, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Rye: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Grant Clennin, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Rye's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Front Range Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rye will host Las Animas at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Front Range Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Clear Creek at 6:00 p.m. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golddiggers have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
