Softball Recap: Desert Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Santa Rita

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Christian). They were the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over Santa Rita on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Desert Christian in their matchups with Santa Rita: they've now won five in a row.

Desert Christian let Aimee Lloyd and Alexa Yarger run wild. Lloyd went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Yarger went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Lloyd has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lilly Crawford, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Desert Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Santa Rita, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
