Basketball Recap: Peyton Toledo Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Navajo Pine

Hozho Academy won the last time they faced Navajo Pine and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hozho Academy Wolves came out on top against the Navajo Pine Warriors by a score of 47-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Hozho Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Peyton Toledo out in front who posted 16 points. The dominant performance gave Toledo a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Daniels, who earned 11 points.

Navajo Pine's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Dawes, who went 5-for-10 en route to 10 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kylea Jumbo, who scored eight points and six steals.

Hozho Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Navajo Pine, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.

Hozho Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Navajo Pine, they have already played their next contest, a 57-16 win against Northwest on the 21st.
