Softball Recap: Lincoln Has No Trouble Against Childersburg

Lincoln barely beat Childersburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lincoln Golden Bears blew past the Childersburg Tigers 15-1 on Thursday. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Golden Bears this season.

The team relied heavily on Aubrey Machen, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Kinsley Crow was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Childersburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Ashville will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
